Thursday 11th

Today was the last day of training our schools, which was more difficult than we all thought. We had to choose 10 students for our final team from a group of 30. We based our decisions on the height and weight of the children which seemed unfair, however most of them were grateful for playing initially. Some got upset which we found challenging to deal with, but after reassuring them that they could come to the tournament and support their friends they cheered ever so quickly.

From where we began to where we are now, it is safe to say our schools have progressed massively and gained a deeper understanding of tag rugby (our main goal!). At the end of the day we managed to get both teams to the standard we wanted, despite our two schools starting at completely different levels of awareness of the game. We feel overwhelmed by their enthusiasm and excitement for the tournament tomorrow. We can not wait to see our they perform tomorrow.
